My eight years as an elected Kauai Councilmember is balanced with a thirty-two year private sector career history that spans engineering, business, education, investment and media. I had previous co-ownership and operation of Hanalei Surf Company stores for 18 years in which our personal viability was centered on managing a balanced budget. This experience is expanded by decades of civic engagement, community advocacy on Kauaʻi, with a highest focus on youth-at-risk, business, education, neighborhood food production and regenerative agriculture. I am honored to have secured a strong team of skilled engineers and experts prepared and committed to strengthen my administration’s effectiveness from day one. As mayor, Kauai's people will have respectful leadership to empower us through these changing and challenging economic times into a vibrant future.
